Under the direction and oversight of the municipal judge and supervision of the clerk
of the municipal court, all deputy clerks shall assist the clerk of the municipal
court in the performance of the duties established in section 13-61. The city manager, in consultation with the municipal judge, may appoint such deputies
and assistants to the clerk of the municipal court as may be appropriate, or designate
such responsibility in accord with city policies. Such persons shall be bonded as
necessary in accord with standard practices of the city. The deputies and assistants
shall be subject to at least an annual evaluation of performance by the clerk of the
municipal court, in consultation with the municipal judge, in accordance with state
law, this chapter, and the policies and procedures of the city.
