§ 17-7. Removal of existing garbage racks.

  • Any person having garbage racks constructed of wood or metal will be required to remove such rack within 30 days after final passage of this chapter. Any person having a freestanding garbage rack made of masonry, such as block, brick or concrete, will not be required to remove such rack. Any person having a masonry garbage rack, such as block, brick or concrete, which is a part of a permanent building or wall will not be required to remove such garbage rack. All underground refuse containers shall be filled within 30 days of final passage of this chapter. It is the intent of this chapter that all garbage racks be removed where practical. Mobile refuse containers shall not be enclosed in garbage racks.
