§ 9-41. Adoption of International Fire Code.

  • There is hereby adopted, for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire and explosion, that certain code known as the International Fire Code, in its most current edition as adopted by the South Carolina Building Codes Council, including all chapters and sections, of which code one copy is filed in the office of the city clerk, and same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the corporate limits. Provided, however, that in the event of any conflict between the provisions of that code and the provisions of this Code of Ordinances, state law, municipal rules and regulations, the provisions of this Code, state law or municipal ordinances, rules or regulations shall prevail and be controlling.
