Chapter 13. MUNICIPAL COURT |
Article I. IN GENERAL |
§ 13-12. Attendance of jurors.
Any juror duly summoned pursuant to this chapter who shall neglect or refuse to appear in obedience to such summons, and who shall not, within 48 hours thereafter, render to the municipal judge a sufficient reason for such delinquency, may be punished for contempt. For purposes of this section, "Sufficient reason" shall consist of an explanation substantiated by documents or clearly identified facts, and shall be more than a plausible excuse. No person shall be required to serve as a juror in the court for more than one term during any calendar year.
