Article I. IN GENERAL |
§ 13-14. Ordinance summons.
(a)
The ordinance summons may be used by the police and code enforcement officers of the city for charging a violation of this Code. No person shall be arrested or taken into custody with the ordinance summons unless otherwise authorized by law.
(b)
The city manager or a designee shall maintain a record of all audit copies of ordinance summonses and maintain a record of all summons books issued to police officers and code enforcement officers. The municipal court shall maintain a record of all cases heard which were charged on an ordinance summons.
