§ 13-15. Failure to appear in court.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to fail or refuse to attend a session of the municipal court to which the person has been directed by ticket, summons, or subpoena signed by a police officer, parking enforcement officer, codes enforcement officer, the municipal judge, or other presiding officer of the court. It shall be unlawful for any person, when directed under signed bond to appear before the municipal court at a time therein stated, to fail or refuse to appear as directed. It shall be unlawful for any person to fail or refuse to attend or appear in municipal court when ordered to do so by the municipal judge, when the order or directive is issued in open court in written or oral form. The municipal judge may excuse any person so ticketed, summoned, subpoenaed, ordered, directed or bound over, from attendance if the failure to appear is sufficiently justified by facts presented to the court.
