§ 13-6. Internal operations.

  • The chief administrative municipal judge shall formulate, revise, and distribute internal written directives classified as internal operating policies and/or procedures. These written rules, operating procedures and policies shall be designed to ensure the courteous, orderly and effective administration of justice for the people of the city, and shall comply with the general law of the state, municipal ordinances, and policies and procedures otherwise applicable to the city's operations. All municipal judges and court personnel are under the authority of the chief administrative municipal judge, and shall comply with directives classified as internal operating policies and/or procedures. The chief administrative judge shall report noncompliance of appointed personnel to the council, and noncompliance of employees to the manager. Failure to comply with the operating policies and/or procedures promulgated by the chief administrative judge may serve as just cause for termination of appointment or employment in the municipal court.
